InnoCity got over 50 applications this year. That is huge, thank you everyone for applying! It was decided that instead of 6 teams, 8 teams compete in the competition of 2012. InnoCity proudly presents the new competitors!

HOW TO APPLY FOR INNOCITY??

THIS IS HOW YOU APPLY FOR THE COMPETITION:

All students of LUT and Saimaa UAS can apply individually or in teams of four. In total 24 students (6 teams) are chosen for the competition. Teams have to be multicultural (at least 2 nationalities, where one is finnish) and represent different study programs. One member of the team sends the CVs of all members in one email.

Send your CVs and justifications for why you should be a competitor via email. The deadline for the applications is December 4th.

InnoCity 2012 is soon here!!

The third InnoCity competition starts in January 2012!

The recruiting of students begins on week 45. Every student from LUT and Saimaa UAS can apply by sending their CVs and contact info via e-mail to marjut.bragge(at)saimia.fi. They also have to remember to include their justifications on why they are the right people for the competition.

Final stages

Last moments, last thoughts. We are pulling forward. Not so much to do anymore. Deadlines. Gotta love ‘em. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. Nevermind which place of the 3 we take in the results, we have made 3 friends. This is nice. Fingers tired. No more....:)

SIMO'S ANGELS - week 3

Heeeey, we are here again to sum up everything that happened during the last week, 3rd week of the competition!

So, on 4 April we gave a short presentation for the jury and received valuable feedback from them. That helped a lot during the week because we had a clear view of what needs to be done.

On 10 April we all went to the race track and we even won money! :D

Probably this gave us inspiration and we did a lot for our assignment yesterday!

Unbelievable, but InnoCity is ending in one week...

So we now need to put the finishing touches on our report and make the video!

MORE THAN A TEAM, TEAM FUSION

HI YOU, Here we are once againg. There is only one week to go till the final presentation of our ideas:) So it's busy time. We have a clear picture in our mind, the problem is just to get it all in black and white, in one report. But definitely we can make it:) Last week we met the judges for the first time. We presented some of the ideas and things we had done so far. They did not reveal too much, no big smiles, but I think we are on the right track. We have also new Team-shirts! Now I m gonna share some of my moments with team mates and coordinators.

we were asked for photoshoot and i was bit tensed how it would be there ,but then when i visited there i was feeling really cool .

The environment made me feel happy ,these is because of our coordinators ,they are really cool and friendly.The photo shoot was amazing with lots of fun.

We had such a wonderful moments there and our journey as a team starts there and our foundation stone for our team name layed .

From that moment we are together all time having fun at our lady boss cute place.

Futuremind at Horse Race Tracks

.....here we are again to tell you about the race tracks on Saturday which we were attending!!!


Ravirata is such a nice place and we loved being there, although it was a little bit boring at the beginning. To make our time at the races more special we decided to bet!!! It was the 5th race when we bet for horse `Vital` with its number 4! And you know what??? We won! It was a great experience full of excitement, even though we bet only one euro = P

Talking about this week, on Monday we had a meeting with our jury in Saimaa UAS. It was kind of official and even a little bit nervous but still we shared all our ideas concerning Ravirata Case and were told how to make them better. Now we have time to organize some more group meetings, prepare the report and nice presentation for Monday 17th.

Presentation week -- AbSolution

Hey, guys~Nice to edit here ^_^!

Here is the first post from AbSolution Team. About our team, I just want to say I am so proud of you all. Especially Ossi and Margo, you are soooooooo brilliant!!!

On Monday, 4th April, we spread our initial solutions to the jury. We did presenting really good. And we recived some feedbacks from jury as well. Those feedbacks are valuable, be sure to push our ideas go further.
Next, we are going to discuss more and develope those attractive ideas. We do need to do so!!! We need to challenge to do the budgeting....
Of course, it might be necessary to think also about the shooting work in next week, where, when, and how.... I trust the shooting by oursleves would be interesting and specially....Let's see ;D

SIMO'S ANGELS - week 2

Sunday!!!

It means that tomorrow's April 4th and we are having our first presentations about Ravirata! Our team is ready to meet the jury, show the ideas and receive a valuable feedback. Actually, after that we are planning to decide what to do next in order to improve our work.

We're also looking forward to start making video on our own, we already have few ideas how and what to shoot. So check this out later, it's going to be really creative!

RACE HORSES 2th APRIL 2011

Hi everyone! Is there a better idea than going to see an exciting race horses on Saturday afternoon? All people who have been there, will answer to this question negatively. See horses speeding to the wind speed is a unique sensation! And what about betting? Each of us played to TOTO, a easy and full of options game that you cannot help but play! And when you do it, you are more involved and become part of the event. Here we can see one of the winner in the competition and our friend Alexander that give to her a beautiful bouquet. Now it's time to involve more other people doing them discover a new passion. Goodbye guys and see you soon!

What is it when Four Unique Students are In One Nexus??

Well that’s team FUSION of course!!:D That was the result of our last meeting this week. During this week we had managed to do a lot. We went once again to Säräpirtti Kippurasarvi. Teemu & Jayden and Maria & Marjut were there as well as the other two teams working on the Säräpirtti Kippurasarvi assigment.

We had our camera with us this time and Teemu his own, the bigger and better one. Jayden has the microphone and did made some, hopefully good, interviewsJ We found some blankets in our team colors and could enjoyed the sun outside. The summer is coming….Maybe…Well at least it was warm both out and inside at Säräpirtti. Inside was it warm because Esko was preparing some särä in the big oven as usuall. We had also time to ask some tough questions from Kati. It was a nice day in the middle of nowhere as we usually call Lemi in a friendly way.

Next day we met at Sasha’s (Alexandra) place। We had cup of tea and did some work as well. We also found out a slogan for our team. It is Four Unique Students In One Nexus. The last word was pretty difficult to figure out but in the end Ama (Annamari), the brains of our team, find out the word nexus. According Wikipedia it is Latin and it means at least connection, team or something like that. So it is us:)

We have to present something for the jury on Monday so we are going to weave the last plots together at Ama’s place on Sunday. Ama is going to prepare something delicious food for us!! Waiting for that.:)

Upstream-week 1 Lappeenranta trotting race track

Hi, everyone, sorry for the late. Now let me formally introduce our team- Upstream. Our team member: Yi Liang (China), Alexander Tusa (Russia), Ksenia Lukyanova (Russia), Samuel Leanza (Italy)

How to describe the first time we went to Lappeenranta trotting race track organized by Ravirata Oy for the InnoCity Competition? I’d say exciting. A day full of emotions.

Here is a photo made at race track and with some cute horses। We are still waiting for the official video from the photographer।

Today we walk to Lappeenrannan Ravirata Oy, our case company, where we all were able to see the race track and many cute horses. And another thing, of course, we are ready to pose for photos and video.

We got a lot of information about the company and horserace. We are confident to complete this project well

And another surprise, free tickets to watch the real horserace on Saturday. Can’t wait for that :P
